Ready, Set, Go!

Our Kindergarten students thrive with a hands-on curriculum that focuses on individual development. The accomplished teachers provide a solid academic foundation with an engaging and creative curriculum.

Language Arts include class discussions, stories, poetry, writing centers and reading activities. Earth Science is explored both inside and outside of the classroom through hands-on activities such as planting and maintaining the school vegetable garden.

Math concepts are taught using a variety of manipulatives and tools to reach each learner. Our Kindergartners enter our Spanish program, are introduced to technology, participate in Studio Arts and Music classes, and join in PE classes. Kindergartners also participate in school-wide activities including Spirit Weeks and the Christmas Concert.

The Friendship Garden is a playground area dedicated to our Preschool and Kindergarten classes. It provides a quiet space with age appropriate structures and activities to give our youngest students a place to explore.

The fun highlights of this year of development include: leading the All Saints’ Mass dressed as their chosen Saint, Polar Express pajama and movie day, field trips, guest visitors and speakers, and Kindergarten graduation. Each Kindergarten student is partnered with a 7th grade student “buddy” for two years. The “buddies” accompany the Kindergarteners to Mass, join them at school parties and spirit events, and serve as a friendly face on campus.

Kindergarten students are also introduced to our STA Serves program by collecting stuffed animals for the Phoenix Police Department’s “Bears for the Brave” program.
